Welcome to the homepage of the Kreuchers and Brandenburgs, Zeimets and Ehleringers.  Our family is from the countries of Germany and Luxumbourg   They were part of the great migration of immigrants to America in the 1800's.  The Brandenburgs came to America in the fall of 1864 and the Kreuchers came from Kreuzberg Germany in 1869.  The Zeimets came to America in about 1854 and the Ehleringer's came to America in 1863.  We are looking for our family all over the world!!  I got interested in genealogy because of my grandfather George Bernard Kreucher, who was orphaned when he was 7 yrs old. He went to St Mary's Orphanage in Dubuque (see his stories).  He lost touch with his family for years and didn't know anything about his mother's side of the family and much about his father either, so began my aunts search.  My aunts, Lorraine Kreucher and Beatrice Kreucher Stefanick inspired me and so for yrs we have been searching.  I welcome input and help!

Welcome and please share your stories with us.

The music on the following pages are selections made from German Composers, who represent types of music that either are folk tunes that we can imagine our family listening too, correlates to the folklore of our family (Brandenburg Concerto, on the Brandenburg page) or Violin music that Anton Kreucher might have played during his lifetime.  I am searching for folk music from Luxumbourg, and so far have not found any.

The devastation of Katrina has hurt many people in our nation.  We have family members that are from the Kreucher and Brandenburg side of our family who have been hit.  Please make a donation to your favorite charity helping Katrina victims.  Thank you!
